What’s Happening Now?

I’ll periodically update this page to let you know what I’m up to now (in the grand scheme of things)
and what projects I’m working on (music related or otherwise). This is a way for me to be a little more ‘personable’ and go beyond the bio and the achievements and such.

I got this idea from Derek Sivers. Check him out.

*My wife and I are getting ready to move to Dallas, TX this summer. I’m extremely excited about the change,
but certainly sad about leaving Wichita, which has been home to me for the last decade.

Every time and place has its season.

*Even more exciting, my wife is graduating in a few short weeks! I’m so proud of her.

*This year, I’m challenging myself to read more. I believe I’m on book 7 right now –
which reminds me, I should track my progress a little more diligently.

*I’ve been fortunate enough to not have any major medical or health issues, but taking care of myself mentally and physically has become more of a priority since I got married last fall. I’ve lost 25 lbs since November and feel great! Changing your eating habits is no joke folks.

*My wife and I started our minimalism journey in January of 2017. Actually, she started and I have been playing catch up ever since. Bottom line is this – with our move right around the corner, we are more grateful than ever for changing how we view our things and being honest about what we need in our lives. Fad or not, this has made a huge difference in our lives for the better. The Minimalists

*I recently wrapped up my second album with Daydream – an 11-piece jazz/funk/fusion super group led by my friend and long time musical accomplice, Riley Day. I’m thrilled to have been a part of this group from its humble beginnings and take part in the ridiculous compositions that Riley has come up with (They’re really good, and really F-ing hard). It’s done now and should be released soon!

*ME3 and Odisea will live on in Texas. I haven’t quite decided where I want to go with these projects moving forward, but they will continue in one form or another. The Odisea album is up on Spotify, iTunes, and literally every other digital music platform there is. Go look it up and enjoy it.

*Lastly, my wife and I are FINALLY going on our honeymoon after she graduates. A week in Mexico.
Goodbye phones and responsibilities, HELLO VACATION!

I’ll have more announcements coming up soon!
